Mangaluru: National level Muay Thai Championship inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2019:  A National level Muay Thai Championship organised for the very first time in Mangaluru was inaugurated at the Karavali Utsav ground on November 20, Wednesday by Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh. Muay Thai is the popular martial art of Thailand.

City Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha, MLA of Mangaluru South Vedavyas Kamath, Muay Thai Association’s State President Rajgopal Rai, Yatish Baikampady, CEO of Panambur Beach Development Project, businessman A Sadanand Shetty and others were present.

As many as 450 contestants from 27 states including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chattisgarh, Assam,  Delhi and other places are participating in the event. The contest is held upto November 24 from 4 pm to 10 pm.
