Mangaluru : Most wanted cattle thief in police net

Mangaluru, Jan 18, 2016 :  A notorious cattle thief wanted in different cases of cattle thefts has been arrested by the CCB police.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Sharief alias Military Sharief(36). He was arrested from near the Mangaluru Junction Railway Station.

The accused who is originally a  resident of Kasaba Bengre was  staying a Kudkorigudde in Kankanady  since some time and was responsible for cattle thefts in various places of DK, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts. Though he had secured bail in some cases,  he was evading appearing before court in some other cases.

 In Mangaluru there were cattle theft cases against him in Bunder and Rural police stations. He was also facing cattle theft and cheque bounce cases  in Karkala, Suratkal, Belthangady and Bantwal police stations.
