Mangaluru: Miscreants torch nearly 500 fish crates at Bunder

Mangaluru, Apr 14,2015 : Nearly 500 fish crates worth Rs 3 lakhs were destroyed after miscreants allegedly set fire to them at Bunder port  during the early hours of April 14, Tuesday.

The crates were owned by a fish trader named Abdul Azeez. It has been gathered that some miscreants arrived at the area where the fish crates were stored close by the place where boats were anchored at around 1.30 am and set the  boxes on fire. Locals who rushed to the spot  extinguished the fire.

.Locals suspect the hands of some people who consumed drugs in the area  behind the incident.

A case has been registered by Bunder police.
