Mangaluru: Masses resume at few churches after two months of break during lockdown

Mangaluru, June 14, 2020:  A few Catholic Churches in Mangaluru including the Rosario Church, on Saturday  resumed masses which were suspended since the past over two months due to lockdown.

Mangaluru Diocese  Bishop  Rev Peter Paul Saldanha had earlier informed that the masses would resume from June 13 by duly abiding by Covid-19  precautionary measures.

Apart from Rosario Church, the churches where masses resumed on Saturday are Cassia Church, Fathima Retreat House and  St  Joseph The Worker  Church.

At Rosario Church, the faithful are allowed to participate in masses wardwise. If   faithful from three wards were allowed on Saturday on Sunday during the three masses, people from four  wards each were permitted respectively. Arrangements were made for the people to fill Google forms to be eligible to participate in the mass. The form submission for each mass closes after  60 to 70 people submit the forms.
