Mangaluru : Martyrs remembered on Vijay Diwas

Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2017:  Vijay Diwas was observed at the War Memorial at Kadri Hills  here on December 16, Saturday  to mark India’s win against Pakistan in the 1971 war.

Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil along with various dignitaries offered floral tributes to the martyrs on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said there was the inevitability of fighting against evil  forces within the nation.

T S Suresh, City Police Commissioner, said the youth must derive inspiration from the valiant soldiers who  have sacrificed much for the cause of their motherland.

SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy, ZP CEO M R Ravi, NCC Commander  Col. Anil Nautiyal, DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association Secretary  MS Airan and others were present.
