Mangaluru: Man accused of killing father, arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 17, 2017 : Police arrest a person on January 17, Tuesday on charges of murdering his father over a property dispute.The accused is identified as Abubakkar.

 

Reports said that Abubakkar  had allegedly assaulted his father Adam at a vegetable shop at old bus stop in Uppinangady with an iron rod. .

Adam was greviously injured on his head , succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Monday.


A police team headed by SP Bhushan Gulabrao Borase  along with Anil Kulkarni, CPI, Puttur Rural circle and Amanulla A, PI, District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB)  took up the task to arrest the accused, who was on the absconding  since the incident.


The DCIB team spotted Abubakkar  at Gadiyara bus stop who  was  planning  of leave to  Bengaluru. The SP announced commendation certificate and cash award to the DCIB team for their swift action.
