Mangaluru-Madikeri road blocked due to landslide

Sullia, Aug 13, 2018:  Traffic on the Mangaluru-Madikeri state highway has been cut off  since Monday morning following landslide due to heavy rains.

 

After soil from a hilly area in between Talattamane and Madikeri  caved in, alternate arrangements had been made for vehicular traffic. However,   landslide  was reported even on the alternate route near  Madenadu since Sunday night  thereby  hitting traffic even  on the alternate road.

Highway officials have rushed to the spot and   efforts are underway to clear the soil from the road using JCB.
