Mangaluru : MLC Ivan assures efforts to sanction new building for Mangaluru Rural Police Station

Mangaluru, June 12, 2015 : MLC Ivan D’Souza who visited the Mangaluru Rural Police Station in the  city on June 12, Friday has instructed the police officials to take early steps to shift the station to a new premises.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The MLC  was speaking after visiting the Station which is also known as Kankanady Police Station,  to look into the state of affairs following complaints since long that the building  is in a bad shape.

Ivan said he had raised the issue of  constructing a new building for the station  in the Legislative Council a few months ago to which the Home Minister had assured to fulfil the demand if a land is identified for the purpose.

He also stated that technical issues had delayed the identification of land for the stadium so far.

DCP Vishnuvardhan and Circle Inspector Pramod Kumar who also spoke assured to find a suitable location to construct a new building for the station. They  also  said the station would be shifted at the earliest to a rented building.

Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor, Purushottam Chitrapur, Deputy Mayor, Kalyan Shetty, ACP and others were present.
