Mangaluru : Locals rescue washed-up dolphin on Hosabettu beach

Mangaluru, June 17, 2015: The ill marine mammal washed ashore at Hosabettu beach on Tuesday. The locals in Hosabettu attempted to refloat the dolphin and went into the sea to push and pull the mammal into deeper water at the beach, but were unable to get the dolphins out to sea.

 

One of the local said" the 1.5 meter long marine mammal is alive and we are trying to put it back into the sea"

It is alleged that the dolphin may have consumed something of more toxic and pollutant, carried into the sea due to the rains. Locals censured that industry nearby leaves polluted water into the sea and the dolphin may have harmed because of that.
