Mangaluru, Oct 24, 2020: The inter-state bus services between Mangaluru and Kasargod which have remained suspended ever since lockdown, are yet to resume despite the borders now open.
People travelling between Mangaluru and Kasargod, particularly those travelling on a daily basis are hit hard due to the absence of bus services. Though the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is willing to operate buses to Kasargod, the Kerala State Road Transportation has not yet thought about this.
Meanwhile, the strict measures by the Kasargod district administration to check the spread of Covid-19 and the enforcement of prohibitory orders which will remain effective till October 31, makes it clear that the bus services may not be allowed until then.
Meanwhile the Kasargod administration has also decided to resort to Covid checks in the border areas.
