Mangaluru: Kanakadasa Jayanthi celebrated

Mangaluru, Dec 26, 2018: The thoughts of Saint Kanakadasa and the  way through which he invoked the blessings of  the Lord through his unstinted devotion  should always be remembered, said Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Parliamentary Secretary.

 

 

 

 

He was speaking after inaugurating the Kanaka Jayanthi celebrations organised at Tulu Bhavan at Urvastores on December 26, Wednesday under the aegis of the DK District Administration, and Department of Kannada and Culture.

Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Additional DC Kumar, ZP CEO Selvamani, District President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others were present.

 Prior to the function, an attractive procession featuring a tableau  of Kanakadasa was taken out from Urvastores to Tulu Bhavan.
