Mangaluru: Janardhana Poojary offers Urulu Seve for the cause of Cauvery

Mangaluru, Sep 18, 2016: Senior Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary offered Urulu Seve at the Shree Gokarnanatha Temple on September 18, Sunday  seeking  early solution to the  Cauvery water row. Several Congress leaders and devotees were present when the leader offered his Urulu Seve and later declared that he was even ready to sacrifice his life for the cause of water.

 

JR Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South,  Vijay Kumar Shetty, former Suratkal MLA and senior Party leader and others were present and offered special prayers prior to the commencement of Urulu Seve by Poojary seeking a favourable judgement from the Supreme Court  on September 20.

After the Urulu Seve, Poojary said the judgement should do justice to people of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala lest  problems may arise. The CM should also ensure that justice is done to the state, he added. "Water is vital for living and  one should be ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of water,"  the 80 year old leader who is considered the most vocal of all politicians, said.
