Mangaluru : International Yoga Day observed

Mangaluru, June 21, 2019:  International Yoga Day organised at the Town Hall here on June 21, Friday under the aegis of the DK Zilla Panchayat, Nehru Yuva Kendra and District Ayush Department was inaugurated by Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath.

 

In his address  Kamath said practice of Yoga goes a long way in promoting physical and mental health while also relieving individuals of stress.

 Students of Alva’s Naturopathy College Vinaya, Swasti Rai, Shruti Rao, Amritha and Chaitra Shetty were felicitated  for their Yoga achievement.

There was a  Yoga demonstration by Yoga Guru Gopalakrishna Delampady and his disciples.

MLA of Mangaluru North Dr Bharath Shetty, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu, ZP Vice President Kasturi Panja, District Health Officer Dr Ramakrishna, District Home Guards Commandant Dr Murali Mohan Chuntaru,  Nehru Yuva Kendra Co-ordinator Raghuveer Sooterpete, District Ayush Officer Dr Mohammad and others were present.
