Mangaluru: International Bunts Convention on Feb 6 and 7

Mangalore Feb 2, 2016: International Bunts convention will be organized on February 6th and 7th at Town Hall, Mangalore, said Chairman of National Bunts Welfare Trust Sadananda Shetty.

Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Kudla, he said, ‘The grand celebration of this Convention will be inaugurated on February 6  at 4.00 pm by Dharmadikhari of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala  Dr D Veerendra Heggade. 

 

On this occasion, Dr. D K Chowta, President of the convention will be welcomed from Mangalore University College to Town Hall in a procession at 2.30pm. “Sadhashaya” paper will be inaugurated by Chancellor of Nitte University Dr. Vinay Hegde.

He also said that the  inaugural function will be followed by “Banta Kala Koota” at 7pm and Yakshagana at 9pm. On Feb 7th Women Convention will be inaugurated by Kripa Alva  at 9:30  am followed by Panel Discussion at 11:00 am , “Telike Urkarnaga” (Tulu Drama by Devadas Kapikad and team) at 2:30pm, dance programme by students of Alva’s Education Foundation at 5:30pm.A musical event Gurukiran Nights will also be organized said Pradeep Alva, member of Organizing committee.

Vijaya Lakshmi Shetty, Navneet Rai, Rajgopal and others were present.
