Mangaluru, Jan 11, 2016: Mangaluru International Airport has secured the fifth spot among the 53 Tier II airports in the nation as far as customer satisfaction is concerned.
J.T. Radhakrishna, Director of MIA says the ranking was given as per the Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted during the period July-December 2015 through a private agency by the Airports Authority of India. MIA got an overall rating of 4.75 in the five point scale, he added. Radhakrishna has described this as a remarkable achievement of the MIA. The rating in terms of cleanliness of terminal building was 4.82 while the rating for cleanliness of toilets and washroom was 4.79.
All the 53 airports included in the survey had handled a passenger traffic of 15 lakh during a year.
