Speaking to reporters on October 19, Monday, Sharan Pumpwell, Convenor of Bhajrangdal has alleged that the arrest of four of the accused in the murder case has clearly revealed that the two organisations were behind it.

He further alleged that the four arrested  in the case  were also involved in the earlier cases reported from Handelu and Permude. He further warned that the Hindu outfits will stage protests if the PFI was not banned.

Jithendra Kottari, Working President of VHP accused the Congress of being apathetic towards   the murder of Prashanth Poojary.

He also refuted the statement of the Police Commissioner that the murder was not owing to communal grudge   and claimed that the murder took place mainly because Prashanth Poojary was  engaged in the task of thwarting cattle trafficking cases.
