Mangaluru: First Anniversary of Traffic Warden Squad celebrated

Mangaluru, Sep 26, 2016: To mark the first anniversary of traffic warden Squad , Traffic wardens Day rally was flagged off by DCP Sanjeev Patil at Kankanady today September 26 Monday. Rally was culminated at Commisisoners office. 

Chief Traffic Warden Joe Gonsalves said that, the squad is performing excellent service to curb the traffic problem in the city. 

DCP Sanjeev M Patil said that, the squad actively involved when there are problems in the community, social or law and order. Credit goes to Joe Gonsalves to take the responsibility of a great area where the public is really in need. With his leadership, the traffic movement will be better and people will follow the traffic rules properly.

TWS should bring awareness among the people. The public has joined hands with the traffic police to control the traffic. TWS will help to control traffic violations. Any organization or any police officer alone cannot bring changes in the society. A policeman is a citizen with uniform and a citizen is a policeman without uniform. If the public will join hands with the police, we can bring changes in the society, said Sanjeev Patil

Let the traffic warden spread to the rural areas so that the traffic in Mangaluru will flow smoothly and will become a smart city, he concluded.
