Mangaluru: Feast of Nativity celebrated with fervour

Mangaluru, Sept 8, 2019: The Feast of Nativity is being celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in various parishes and churches across the city on September 8, Sunday.

Churches hold special masses on this auspicious day in the presence of thousands of faithful. The celebrations being held at St Sebastian Church, Bendore, Rosario Cathedral and various churches were attended by hundreds of Christians from the respective parishes. Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha offered Mass at Rosario Cathedral.

Thousands of faithful visited churches in the morning and offered flowers to Mother Mary. Processions of Bambina of Infant Mary are also taken out to mark the occasion.

The newly grown paddy and sugarcanes were distributed to the parishioners on the occasion.
