Mangaluru:Family donates vital organs of Leena Binoy who died in road mishap

Mangaluru, July 03, 2015: The family of Leena Binoy, Centre Director of Euro Kids Pre-School,  who met a tragic end in a road mishap on July 2, Thursday, has donated her  vital  organs. Leena who had sustained serious head  injuries had been declared brain dead  by  doctors .

 

 

 

 

 

As per her family’s wish, Leena’s heart valve, liver, kidneys and cornea  are being harvested.  The family’s wish was communicated to the  Zonal Co-ordination Committee of Karnataka and  after legal clearances the team from  the Committee arrived in the city from Bengaluru to take the organs.

Here it is worth recalling that the vital organs of Jeevan Fernandes  had been donated  by his family recently.  The organs were transported by creating a first ever green corridor from AJ Hospital to Mangaluru International Airport.
