Mangaluru: Eid-Milad celebrated with devotion in city

Mangalure, Jan 3, 2015: The Muslim brethren across the city celebrated Eid Milad or Milad-Un-Nabi with religious fervour on Saturday, January 3. Eid Milad processions were also taken in various parts of the city. Several members of the community including women and children too took part in the procession holding colourful flags and banners. Dafli and Music bands were also part of the procession.

 

 

Eid-Milad falls on the third month of Islamic calendar and marks the birth as well as death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad.

The day is marked by various programmes including prayers, religious meets and religious discourses in mosques.
