Mangaluru: Dengue claims two more lives

Mangaluru, Aug 29, 2019: Two more cases of Dengue deaths have been reported on August 28, Wednesday.

 

Sumathi (36) from Thokkottu Chembugudde and Jayaprakash Gatti (41) from Thokkottu Kumpala have died. Jayaprakash had reportedly undergone treatment in three hospitals for fever but eventually succumbed. It has been confirmed that he had contracted Dengue. However in case of  Sumathi, District Malaria Control Officer said she was suffering from bacterial infection.  But, locals say  she  was suffering from Dengue.

So far four persons have died in the district due to confirmed Dengue. Six others too have succumbed to suspected Dengue, but  the  cause of their deaths are yet to be confirmed.
