Mangaluru Crime: Plot to kill builder foiled, Raju aka Japan Manga arrested

Mangaluru: September 22, 2015:  Mangaluru City Police has foiled a conspiracy to murder a city based realtor for extortion. Sleuths of City Crime Branch headed by Police Inspector Valentine D’Souza nabbed Raju alias Japan Manga, 24, son of late Eerappa, resident of Athrabail House, Kunjathbail in Kavoor. Raju is an accused in cases registered against him in Mangaluru Rural, Barke, Surathkal in city police limits and Kumble police station in neighbouring Kasargod district.

 

 

City Police chief S Murugan told reporters on Tuesday that Raju is accused of murdering Prasanna at Paldane under Rural PS limits in 2013, attempt to murder case in the city, also in the same year at Barke PS, dacoity case in Surathkal PS limits in 2014, and attempt to murder in Kasargod district in 2014. The CCB sleuths recovered choppers from his possession, Murugan said adding that police are on the lookout for his accomplices who were part of the conspiracy.
