Mangaluru: Couple end life by hanging at Beeri, Kotekar

Mangaluru, Feb 19 2019: Aged couple commits suicide by hanging at Beeri, Kotekar, outskirt of the city on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.  The tragic incident came to know in the morning by the neibours and informed the police. 

The deceased couple are identified as Devaraj Ganiga (72), a retired employee of Akashavani and his wife, Vasanthi (65).  The deceased had no children. They had left a suicide note before taking the extreme step of hanging themselves. In the death note, they have written about their property left behind in the name Shwetha, daughter of Vasanthi’s brother. They have asked Swetha to look after their pet dog and cat.

The couple had some health issues like chronic ailments. Ullal police have registered a case and investigation on.
