Mangaluru : Cops arrest 4 in drug trafficking cases

Mangaluru, July 12, 2019:  The city police who have continued their operation against drug traffickers have in two separate cases on Thursday arrested four persons and seized ganja weighing 625 grams from them.

The Kavoor Police during  their patrolling at Haripadavu on Thursday morning   arrested Gaurav Kotian (26) of Pachanady and Rahul Donald Monteiro (25) of Kavoorkatte who were found  sitting inside a car in which ganja was found on inspection. Police seized 125 grams ganja from them.

Gaurav had a case against  him in Pandeshwar station. Meanwhile, Rahul who was working abroad had returned hometown recently.

In another case, cops of the Economic  and Narcotics Crime cell have arrested Ibrahim Sufaid (22) of Ullal Mastikatte and Abdul Afil (21) of Halekote Ullal on the charges of selling ganja. Police seized  ganja weighing 500 grams apart from their Honda Activa and mobile phone.

Commissioner’s praise : City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil who praised the operation conducted by the Kavoor SI Muralidhar Ballal and Head constable Mohan Kumar at Haripadavu has honoured them with a letter of commendation.
