Mangaluru : Congress protests against resort politics of BJP

Mangaluru, Jan 17, 2019: The BJP came under severe criticism for its resort politics and alleged Operation Lotus,  during a protest organised by the District Congress  outside the party office at Mallikatte on January 17, Thursday.

Addressing the protestors,  former minister Ramanatha Rai alleged that the BJP was making every attempt to destabilise and topple the coalition government  in the state. On this occasion he also dubbed the BJP as Bharatiya Joot Party’ and said the party’s words never translated into deeds.

District Congress President Harish Kumar also slammed the BJP for its resort politics. He said the  unity of the Congress will  result in failure of any attempt to topple the government.

He also questioned the source of funds for the BJP for the stay of its MLAs in a resort since the past several days.

District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai, Corporators Asha D’Silva, Sabitha Misquith, Naveen D’Souza  and others participated in the protest.
