Mangaluru: College girl ends life; cause yet to be known

Mangaluru, Aug 17, 2015:  A 17 year old girl has ended her life reportedly by consuming poison or high  dose of barbiturates  at her apartment  near Gujjarakere  in Jeppu.

The deceased girl is Sejal, a first year BA student at a private college in Mangaluru. She is learnt to have chosen the extreme step when her mother  Merlyn Nancy  was away on a visit to her hometown on August 13. The girl was found dead when the mother returned on August 15.

Though the cause of the extreme step is not known, the suspicion was that she might have felt depressed while being alone. Sejal’s father is working abroad.

Pandeshwar police are investigating the case.
