Mangaluru: Civil engineer drowns at Marvoor dam

Mangaluru, March 18, 2020:  A 44-year-old civil engineer drowned at the Marvoor dam on Tuesday morning.

The Bajpe police have given the name of the deceased as Prashant Shetty, a resident of Bolpugudde near Kavoor.

The police said Prashant and some of his friends went to swim at the dam.

Prashant got caught in the water and drowned. His friends took the help of local people to retrieve his body, the police added.

Prashant leaves behnd his mother, a wife and two children, the police added.
