Mangaluru: City bus driver ends life by jumping into sea at Someshwar

Mangaluru, Dec 19, 2023: A city bus driver has ended his life by jumping into the sea at Someshwar Rudrapade on December 19, Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Jagadish Shetty (39), son of Venkappa Shetty of Kondana. He was the driver of a private bus operating on the State Bank-Kinya route.

 

Before jumping into the sea he had kept his bike on the shores and his bike keys, purse and footwear in a towel. His purse had a chit relating to pledging gold and the amount transferred to his bank account.

Jagadish was unmarried and has left behind his parents and two brothers. His father too is ailing and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital at Derlakatte.
