Mangaluru : Cantonment Road concretisation work inaugurated

Mangaluru, Sep 16, 2016: The concretization work of the Cantonment Road near the RTO here was inaugurated  by JR Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South on September 16, Friday.

Speaking to media men on the occasion, Lobo said the project has been taken up  following several appeals made by locals. A sum of Rs 50 lakh has been reserved for the project under the second instalment of Rs 100 crore grant from Chief Minister. The road will  be concretised upto a stretch of  200 meters he added. The MLA also informed that the contractor of the project Rama Kamath has assured to complete the project works in three months.

Mayor Harinath who also spoke said top priority would be accorded to complete all road and footpath works in Mangaluru.

Deputy Mayor Sumitra Kariya, Corporators Deepak Poojary, Lancelot Pinto, Shashidhar Hegde, Assistant Engineer Linge Gowda and many others were present.
