Mangaluru, Sep 14, 2015: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) which has accused the Mangaluru City Corporation of failure to ensure a good administration, staged a protest in front of the MCC office on September 14, Monday.
Earlier, rallies led by the CPI(M) and participated by residents of all the 60 wards of Mangaluru which commenced from Urwa, State Bank Area, Yeyyadi and Nanthoor converged near the MCC office at Lalbagh.
Addressing he protestors, Sunil Kumar Bajal, Secretary of the city unit of CPI(M) said the several problems of the residents of Mangaluru have remained unsolved despite several appeals. He accused the ruling Congress in the MCC of not living upto the expectations of Mangalureans.
He also alleged that development works have remained stagnant in Mangaluru due to lack of dedication and will power on the part of elected representatives as well as officials.
CPI(M) leaders Vasanth Achari, Dyanand Shetty, DYFI State Vice President Muneer Katipalla and others were present.
