Though a few private buses  were seen on the roads early morning,  by around 9 am most of them were off the roads while government buses were reportedly plying with police escort. However no Kerala Transport Corporation buses from Kasargod are coming towards the city.

Students were greatly hit by  the bundh call as the First PUC mathematics  exams is scheduled for today. As already told by DC Dr K G Jagadeesha that exams will be held  as usual,  the exam is being held in various colleges in Mangaluru.

Meanwhile some stray incidents of stone pelting on buses and setting tyres  on fire on road to obstruct traffic has been reported from a few places.
