Mangaluru: Broad daylight murder; Youth stabbed to death near Taluk Office

Mangaluru, June 03, 2015: In a shocking incident of a broad day-light murder that too near the Taluk Office in the heart of the city, a youth was  stabbed to death on June 3, Wednesday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased Ranjith from Mogaveerapatna  worked as a fabricator. The accused has been identified as Dhanu of Kanduka who is said to be a  drug addict.

Eyewitnesses said as soon as Dhanu stabbed Ranjith, the latter who was profusely bleeding ran  towards safety and entered a canteen close by the Taluk Office. Though he was immediately taken to Wenlock Hospital, he had breathed his last by then.

The motive behind the murder is not yet known. City Police Commissioner  Murugan, other senior police officials and finger print experts have visited the scene of the crime. The inestigation is on.
