Mangaluru Boy bags ‘International Strongest Man’ Title in Intl Powerlifting Championship

Mangalore, Dec. 31,2016: In yet another successful feat Prasad Shetty of Mangalore has won the Gold and Silver Medals and the Title of ‘International Strongest Man’ at the International Powerlifting Competition conducted by Indian Powerlifting Federation and held at Jamshedpur from 26 to 30 December.

Prasad Shetty won these medals and titles in the dead lift competition junior category, representing India. His total weight lifted during the competition was 265 kgs dead lift. Prasad Shetty was trained at Balanjaneya Gym, Car Street.

A resident of Kodialguthu, Prasad Shetty, is the son of Mr. K. Chandrahas Shetty, a city businessman and his wife Mrs. Shashikala Shetty.
