Mangaluru Bomb scare turns out to be a hoax

Mangaluru: September 21, 2015: As passengers alighted at KSRTC Bus Terminal at Mangaluru after returning from far-off places after celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi on Sunday evening, the police and KSRTC security personnel were frantically searching for something.

 

Without letting passengers know what they were up to, the personnel searched nooks and corners of the bus terminal from where several services depart to places like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Belagavi, and Hubballi, etc. Messages on certain WhatsApp groups that bombs were planted at the bus terminal prompted the personnel to conduct the search.

However, the messages turned out to be hoax and the security personnel were relieved, said Assistant Commissioner of Police (Central) K. Thilakchandra.
