Mangaluru Bishop condemns St. Alphonsa’s Church attack in Delhi; urges stern action

Mangaluru, Feb 03, 2015:  Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza has strongly condemned the incident wherein the St Alphonsa’s Church in Vasanth Kunj area in South Delhi was vandalised by miscreants on February 2, Monday.

In a press communiqué, the Bishop while demanding  stringent action against the perpetrators of the attack also urged for measures to ensure that such incidents did not recur.

Expressing his regret over the fact that five such incidents had taken place in Delhi in a span of two months, the Bishop described such incidents as a humiliation for God as well as human beings.

He urged the government to  prevent such incidents that hurt the sentiments of Christians.
