Mangaluru: Bike crashes into tree guard, rider injured

Mangaluru, Sept 21, 2018 : In a ghastly incident, a motorbike crashed into tree guard leaving the rider grievously injured. The accident took place  on Thursday, 20 September night outside Hill Crest Apartments (Opp. Sai Baba Mandir) at Chilimbi in the city. According to the locals, the young man riding a black Bajaj V15 motorbike rammed into the concrete base of the tree and further plunged into another motorbike which was parked under the tree.

 

 

 

The vehicle itself just grazed the concrete base and suffered nominal damage, the rider’s left leg took the brunt of the impact. The impact left the concrete base slightly damaged. It is said that no one else was injured.

A police patrol vehicle which reached the spot shortly afterwards took stock of the situation and helped in transporting the victim to a hospital. He is identified as Nagaraj S, an ICICI bank worker.

Traffic Police have later clarified that the victim only suffered minor injuries to his leg and there was no fatality. The rider is said to have got disoriented while riding and lost control of the vehicle.
