Mangaluru-Bengaluru Vande Bharat likely in June: MP Nalin

Mangaluru, Mar 13, 2024: The much awaited Vande Bharat Express service between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is expected to commence in the month of June. Works in this regard are progressing, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

 

Speaking during the commencement of the extended Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru Central and Tiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, he said there was growing demand for  Vande Bharat train on Mangaluru-Bengaluru route. A positive response has been received from the Union Government. Presently electrification work is underway and the works in the 22 km Shiradi stretch will be completed by May end. If everything goes as expected then the train services may commence in June, he added.
