Mangaluru : Attempts to malign seer’s image unbecoming

Mangaluru, Sep 03, 2015: Addressing the media, Havyaka Mandala Secretary Seraje Subrahmanya Bhat said that Mani Peraje Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt and affiliated organisations have claimed that molestation case, filed by a Sirsi-based woman, against Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt Seer Raghavendra Bharathi was fake and condemned the repeated attempts to harm the image of the seer.

Attempt was made even during the last Chaturmasya of seer at Mani Mutt.  There are no hostels of Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt at Sirsi or Girinagar. Moreover, though the woman was a witness in Premalatha case, she didn’t mention about these things till now. Her complaint purports molestation happened in 2006 and 2014, but she never filed a complaint. In the medical check-up, doctors found no signs of molestation. These allegations are senseless. 

He also said that the Mani Mutt or Havyaka community never boycotted Shyamprasad Shasthri, the brother of Premalatha’s husband. The representatives of the mutt had participated in his last rituals. The family never invited the mutt. However, the Mutt didn’t boycott them. Some known elements who don’t have any link with the mutt are misleading people and trying to split the community. Mani Peraje Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt and its affiliated organizations will always be with seer.   Uppinangady Havyaka Mandala president Balya Shankara Bhat, Mulleriya Havyaka Mandala Treasurer Kumarasubrahmanya Paisari and others were present.
