Mangaluru: Ahinda Convention inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2016: An Ahinda Convention was inaugurated in the city on November 26, Saturday by Naveen Chandra D Suvarna, Honorary President of the Dakshina Kannada Ahinda Movement by handing over copies of Indian Constitution to seven people from seven groups of the Movement.

Speaking on the occasion, he regretted that several Ahinda people were deprived of reservation and other amenities due to the loopholes in the process of implementation of the Chinnappa Reddy Commission recommendations. He also deplored the failure on the part of successive governments to implement many of the recommendations of the Mandal Commission.

Vasudeva Boloor, President of Dakshina Kannada Ahinda Movement,   KR Subhash, Convenor of State unit of Ahinda,  Chandrakala Nandavar, writer,  Haneef  Mohammad, President of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, Padmanabha Naringana, President of  DK Ahinda Movement and others were present.
