Mangaluru: Additional DC Kumar gets Ph.D from Kuvempu University

Mangaluru, Jan 18, 2019: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District, Kumar has been awarded PhD in Sociology by the Kuvempu University for his thesis entitled "The role of e-governance in the modernization of land records : A Sociological Study in Karnataka."

His research work for the thesis was guided by Kuvempu University Professor Dr Gurulingaiah.

Kumar who hails from Hassan is a KAS officer of the 2005 batch. He is a post graduate and also has a B.Ed degree.   Prior to appearing for KAS exams he  served as a lecturer in Gundlupete Pre-University College of Chamrajnagar district.

Before being appointed as Additional DC of Dakshina Kannada District, he has served as Assistant Commissioner in Bijapur and Tumkur and as Additional DC of Udupi district.
