Mangaluru : AJ Hospital holds organ donation awareness Walkathon

Mangaluru, Oct 8, 2015 : As part of ’Jeevanavileena’ an awareness campaign on organ donation, the AJ Hospital and Research Centtre at Kuntikan in the city organised a Walkathon from near the Mangaluru City Corporation building to the AJ Hospital premises on October 7, Wednesday. Sreevidya, Chief Executive Officer of DK Zilla Panchayat flagged off the Walkathon which was participated by several students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, the ZP CEO said such rallies would go a long way in creating  awareness in the society which has not given a serious thought to the significance of organ donation till date. Organ  donation of one individual can gift lives to a few other needy people, she added.

Dr Prashanth Maarla who also spoke gave details about the 20 day Jeevana vileena campaign which concludes on October 10.
