Jeevan Maroli, city secretary of ABVP stated that the functioning of the university left a lot to be desired in the last two-years. Timely conduct and announcement of results is one among the primary functions of the university, he said adding the university has stuttered in announcing results over the past three semesters. This is not only casting a doubt on the future of students, but also pointing a finger at the administrative lapses on part of university authorities.

Training guns on registrar (evaluation) A M Khan for the mess as well, Jeevan said there has been no official reaction to the reasons why the university recalled the results of degree examinations that it conducted in November-December and announced on its website on January 18. Terming this as a serious lapse, he said it begs explanation as to how the results were initially announced and later retracted and also points to administrative efficiency of authorities concerned.

The activists demanded that Khan resign from the post forthwith and urged the VC to initiate action against all those responsible for announcing the results and later retracting it. A special team should be set up to go into issues pertaining to semester marks list, problems with results and related issues, he said. ABVP will be forced to intensify the agitation if the university does not take corrective measures to the examination related issues raised by the organisation, he said.
