Mangaluru: 5 injured in a clash near Porkody

Mangaluru, June 16,2016 : Five people sustained injuries in a clash between two groups of youth belonging to different communities over a trivial issue  at Narayanaguru Nagar, Porkody near Bajpe on June 14, Tuesday night.

It is believed that an incident that ook place a couple of days ago wherein a bike driven by a youth belonging to another community had  brushed past  Prashanth of Kalavaru, had led to the clash.

Sources said on Tuesday night  some people approached one Suhas and  Prashanth and questioned them as to what they were doing in Porkody. This eventually resulted in a quarrel and snowballed into a clash.

If Prashanth and Suhas who were injured were hospitalised in Suratkal; Ramlath, Razia and Sadiq too are admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Bajpe Police are investigating the case.
