Mangaluru : 4 shops at Central Market sealed for not paying rent arrears

Mangaluru, Feb 20 2020: Revenue officials of the Mangaluru City Corporation who conducted a surprise raid at Central Market have sealed four shops for not paying monthly rent. The shops that have been sealed include three vegetable shops and a fish shop.  The raid was conducted  at the direction of MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde Shanady.

It has been gathered that the owners  owed over Rs 5 lakh to the  MCC. In all, the rent arrears stood at Rs 64 lakhs
