Mangaluru : 4-day Orchid Exhibition opens at Kadri Park

Mangaluru, Apr 13, 2019: A four-day orchid exhibition cum sale was inaugurated at the Kadri Park here on April 13, Saturday by Dr Leo D’Souza, Professor, Laboratory of Applied Biology and former principal of St Aloysius College. Alia Orchid Care are the organisers of the event.

 

Orchid hybrids and species that can be grown locally are displayed at the exhibition. There will also be an informative session on growing orchids from April 14 to 16. Training on growing anthuriums and adeniums will also be held during the exhibition.

Different varieties of orchids, multi-petal rosy adeniums and dwarf anthuriums are also on sale at reasonable prices.

Queeni Lasrado, Proprietor of Alia Orchid Care was present among others. A peacock model using over 1200 orchids is also on display at the venue.
