Mangaluru: 2 brothers arrested for abusing public,assaulting cop

Mangaluru, April 13, 2015 : A doctor of Kerala origin and his brother, a flight engineer  were arrested by the police on the charges of  abusing and trying to attack two persons under the influence of alcohol  at Derebail Konchady on April 11, Saturday. The duo has also been accused of  assaulting a police personnel and coming in the way of the policemen in discharging their duties.

The duo has been identified as Dr Srijith (30) from Trissur and his brother Kamal Deep from Delhi.

It is learnt the duo who were travelling via Derebail Konchady where the anniversary celebrations of a youth organisation were underway on Saturday night, stopped their car, abused the people who had gathered for the celebrations and tried to attack two persons. They were then caught hold of and handed over to Kavoor police.

It is said the brothers even behaved rudely in the station and tried to damage the computer as well as a walkie talkie. The two were then taken to Wenlock for medical examination where they reportedly attacked a constable named Radhakrishna of Pandeshwar station.

Complaints have been lodged at Kavoor and Pandeshwar stations against the two.
