Mangaluru: 16 gold bars worth Rs 50 lakhs seized from Hyderabad man at MIA

Mangaluru, April 28, 2015: Customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport have  on April 27, Monday  seized 16 gold bars of Ten Tola  each from a passenger who arrived by a Jet Airways flight No. 9W531 from Dubai at 9.30 am. The value of the gold weighing 1865.650 grams is  Rs.50,55,912/-.

 The gold was concealed  underneath the seat in the Aircraft in which the accused passenger named Mohammed Luqman Ahmed(29) had travelled.

The accused has been arrested and produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mangaluru. Further investigations are under progress.
