Mangaluru: 12 severely injured as bus skids into gorge amid heavy rain

Mangaluru: July 9, 2015: Atleast 12 people were injured after a local bus plying from Kateel to Kinnigoli fell into gorge in Ballana near Kateel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The accident took place on Thursday Morning. Sources say that road was slippery and muddy as a result, the bus driver lost control and ran down leaving twelve people injured.

It is learnt that 30 people were plying in the bus, mainly school and college students.

 

The nine passengers who were injured were rushed to Kinnigoli private hospital and others passengers who were critically injured were taken Mukka Srinivas Hospital.

 

The injured passengers have been identified as Yogitham Shrisha, Shivaprasad, Yashwanth, Pratham, Geetha, Balachandra, Anjali, Harinakshi, Radhika and Venkatesh.
