Mangaluru : 110 saplings planted at court premises to mark Vanamahotsava

Mangaluru, July 01, 2019: As many as 110 saplings were planted at the Court premises here on July 1, Monday  to mark Vanamahotsava. The function was held under the aegis of the Mangaluru Bar Association.  The ceremony was inaugurated by District Principal Judge Kadlur Satyanarayana Acharya  by planting a sapling. As many as 25 judges along  with the Principal Judge planted saplings on the occasion.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Judge said nurturing the planted saplings was more important  for the programme to be meaningful.

Lawyers associated with Green Mangaluru have taken up the responsibility of nurturing the saplings  for three years. Arrangements have also been made to distribute saplings to the needy members of Mangaluru Bar Association at the Association office.
