She is Disha Amrith, daughter of  Amrith Kumar and Leela couple. A Computer Engineering Graduate from the BMS College in Bengaluru, she has been working as a computer engineer since the past one and half year after getting  selected through campus recruitment.

But her  great urge to join the Defence Forces and serve her motherland motivated her to appear for the  fifth time and emerge successful in her mission.

Disha who had appeared for Army selection test four times in the past, was selected twice and had even successfully faced the medical tests. However owing to the limited posts available, Disha who stood 11th and 14th respectively in the exams, could not realise her vision. However, this time she   managed to  emerge successful in her first attempt in the Navy Selection Test.

Disha’s sister Jyothsna too had appeared for Army entrance test twice and this was an inspiration to Disha.

Disha’s father who is  a strict disciplinarian  had also  strived  to instill patriotic values in the minds of his children, which in a way had developed an urge in them to join the defence forces.
